Outlander Day hosted by the Inverness Outlanders.
The events for this wonderful and wet day include a talk and demo from Marion on dyeing and weaving in the 1700s, Helen Gallogly spoke on her work as a textile artist on the Outlander television series, The award winning writer Barbara Henderson regales us with her book The Reluctant Rebel, a Jacobite adventure. Hamish Macdonald with his poetry, stories and song.
The Badenoch Waulking Group, featured in Series 1 - Episode 5 of the Outlander television series give a demonstration of waulking the cloth with a chance to have a go yourself!
The yearly costume competition is judged by the poet and writer Hamish Macdonald and assisted by Lisa Engelton-Muir and our very own Lorraine Cullin

Clanlander - Duncarron Medieval Village
Fun, fun, fun was had at the Clanlander event held at Duncarron Medieval Village.
A questions and answers on the Sunday include Charlie Allan, Dereck Shipway and Eddie Lee Sampson who are historic advisors on Outlander, also present was Jock Ferguson.
Live combat performances and musket demonstrations between Jacobites and Redcoats.
The Inverness Outlanders, Jaye Gould from The Historical Herbalists, Michelle Goring from Sprocketdog Design and Chara Gallos-Allan are a few of the many people attending.
Gillebride MacMillan (the Gaelic consultant on recent Outlander seasons and 'Gwyllyn the Bard' in Season 1 of Outlander) soothes us with his wonderful set of Gaelic song.
